PERFORMANCE OF DIFFERENT ADVANCED LINES AND VARIETIES OF RAPESEED IN FARMER’S FIELD CONDITION. Sultana S, Sarker UK and Yasmin M

ABSTRACT

 A field experiment of advanced lines and varieties of rapeseed was conducted at Netrakona district during Rabi season of 2012-2013 to evaluate the performance of short duration advanced lines of rapeseed in the farmer’s field. BARI Sarisha 15 yielded the highest among the seven advanced lines and varieties. It produced 16% higher yield over check variety Tori 7. The line Nap-0876 produced the second highest yield which was 14% higher over Tori 7. The third highest grain yield was recorded from BARI Sarisha 14 which was 7% higher over Tori 7. The lowest grain yield was recorded from the line BC 05115 (1326 kg/ha). Days required maturing the advanced lines and varieties ranged from 76-88 days. Among the lines and varieties the long durated one was Nap-0876 (88 days).
